Two of our oldest and closest friends, Nels, Timaree, and their son Addison left the Emerald City to move to Las Vegas Nevada this summer.
We couldn’t wait to visit them, and headed down shortly after they got settled in back in June. We stayed a few weeks explored, went to a few Cirque shows because that is what you do when you are in Vegas… and then we headed back to the cooler mountain air in Northern Idaho for the remainder of the summer.
It wasn’t long before we headed back down to Sin City, but it wasn’t to partake in any “sinning”. It was a weekend without the parents for 8-year-old Addison, our Godson, and us. So, how did we chose to spend the weekend and get wild and crazy? Why, we rented a Tesla P90D, complete with the ludicrous mode of course.
Taking off in our borrowed Tesla, we cruised the Las Vegas Boulevard, visited Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and made a few wax friends. Testing out the auto-pilot we headed to Lake Mead, where Addy became a junior ranger and enjoyed a quick swim to cool off before visiting the hoover dam.

Vegas is a small, big city that has been made to cater to adults. However, it is surprisingly kid friendly and we have only scratched the surface. We made a kid-friendly activity list of stuff we would like to do with Addison and his parents and decided to share it.
